A-Level 的全称为 General Certificate of Education Advanced Level，英国普通教育高级证书），是与 GCSE（General Certificate of Secondary Education，英国普通教育初级证书）直接衔接的高级程度的课程，也是英国学生进入大学前的主要测试课程，有 70 多种科目可以选择。很多新高一的学弟学妹们，对如何进行A-level选课常常感到无从下手。今天就为大家整理了部分a-level新高一选课建议，详情见下：
Classics
如果想学习古典文学，非常推荐A-level Latin和Classical Greek。大学也知道不是所有学校都有开设这类课程，可能会要求你入学前的暑假学习一些基础拉丁语或希腊语课程。

Architecture
建筑学不一定要求特定A-level，但是需要你提交一份作品集，这个作品集，通过A-level Art更容易实现。少数建筑专业还要求Maths。有一些建筑专业更倾向于艺术，而另外一些更倾向于数学或物理，所以要看具体大学。

这类科目是英国顶尖大学最常要求的科目，比较有难度，会更好地证明你的学习能力。对于目标牛剑的学生选择来说这类科目变得更重要，剑桥大学Clare学院表示“过去几年里，多数成功申请者的A-level科目是facilitating subjects。”但是也不要盲目迷信，比如你想申请艺术院校，那么选择Music、Drama、Art肯定是更有效的，还是要看专业。
